The Danish Lottery comprises of two slightly different lotteries both drawn on different days. On Wednesday, there is a pan-Scandinavian draw known as the Viking Lottery. It was first drawn in March 1993 and has a minimum jackpot of 7,000,000kr. Saturday’s draw just takes place in Denmark, and has been established since 1989. It currently has a minimum jackpot of 8,000,000kr.
The Viking Lottery requires players to match 6 out of 48 numbers to win the jackpot. Players pick six numbers plus two Lucky Numbers, and those Lucky Numbers will assist in winning the secondary tier prizes. Players can win prizes from matching three main numbers upwards, and prize tiers are shown in the table below.

The Saturday Danish Lottery has slightly different requirements – players will need to match 7 out of 36 numbers to win the jackpot. Players will also choose one Bonus number to assist in winning secondary prizes, plus there is an option to win extra prizes from the Ace Pot by matching the Trump Card, picked from a possible 16. The minimum jackpot is 8,000,000kr. Players must match a minimum of four numbers to win a prize, as shown in the table:

Neither lotteries have a cap for their winnings, so jackpots have the potential to run very high. However, due to the matrix of the Danske Lotto (7/36) it is frequently won, so rarely gets a chance to roll too high.
The biggest single win to date on the Danish Lottery was by a family from Copanhagen, who won 38.5 million kr. on the Viking Lotto in March 2008. However in 2009, a total of three ticket holders shared a jackpot of 72 million kr., taking home 24 million kr. each.
