EuroMillions is one of the biggest lottery games in the world, thanks to some truly massive jackpots and the fact that no less than nine countries participate. The EuroMillions game was originally launched with just three participating countries (France, Spain and the United Kingdom) and the first draw was held on Friday, 13 February, 2004. Several months later, in October 2004, six more countries joined the fun: Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland.

How to Play EuroMillions
The EuroMillions draw takes place on Tuesday and Friday evenings, and in order to take part you need to select five main numbers from the range 1 to 50 and two Lucky Star numbers from the range 1 to 12. The player can opt to have a line of numbers generated at random by requesting a Lucky Dip entry.
The EuroMillions jackpot, which is never less than €17,000,000, is won by any player who matches all five main numbers and both Lucky Star numbers. If more than one player wins the jackpot then the jackpot fund is shared equally between the winners.
If nobody wins the jackpot outright, the jackpot fund is rolled over and added to the fund for the next EuroMillions draw, up to €250 million. If no outright winner is found when the jackpot reaches the cap then the jackpot remains but any money in excess of this amount in the prize pool rolls down to the next winning prize tier. If there are still no winners after five draws with the jackpot at the capped amount then the full amount will roll down and be shared out between players in the next highest winning tier.
